Core Datasheet
When installed IRIS+™ at a customer’s site, IRIS+ is comprised of, (1) an IRIS+ Core which performs all central management and advanced analysis, and (2) a variable number of IRIS+ Edges: IRIS+ Edge appliance or IRIS+ Edge CI (Customer Installed) that process the video stream, transforming it into Irisity’s proprietary metadata. The IRIS+ Edges can be deployed anywhere in the network, from the Data Center hosting IRIS+ Core to any remote site with connectivity to IRIS+ Core over a standard TCP/IP network.
IRIS+ has 3 product tiers and license types. All three tiers are available both for the IRIS+ Standard as well as the IRIS+ Advanced configurations. IRIS+™ Product tiers are:
- IRIS+ Essentials
- IRIS+ Analyst
- IRIS+ Enterprise
IRIS+ Core was developed on principles common to many of today’s private and public data centers: easy scalability through dynamic resource allocation, continuous zero downtime updates, and high availability. As such, IRIS+ Core has specific network, software, hardware requirements, and prerequisites. While Customer Hosted installations are fully supported, for most customers we recommend our secure, hassle-free, and Cloud Hosted IRIS+ Core option. Video analytics can still be run on-site for a hybrid deployment that minimizes bandwidth requirements.
For an IRIS+™ Core installation, Irisity's Professional Services are delivered remotely or on-site (subject to commercial terms). The local staff at the customer’s site are required to have IT knowledge, as specified in the IRIS+ Customer, Hosted Installation Guide (Contact Irisity for details).
Irisity publishes software component updates periodically. Customers will receive the relevant notifications including release notes and instructions on how to perform the update. Note: Converting from a Standard IRIS+ Core to an Advanced IRIS+ Core requires a fresh installation of the entire system.
IRIS+ Core can be configured to suit different analytics deployment sizes and various network architectures.
