IRIS+ Health Status Glossary
1min
health statuses are reported from cameras and devices in iris+ that help you understand what issues the hardware might be experiencing and the best point of action each health status state does provide information on what is currently detected and what you can do to attempt to alleviate the issue please read below to see the full glossary of all health statuses that are generated from iris+ camera health glossary alert details what could happen? what do we recommend? how can i fix it? camera health na na na na low processing framerate fewer than 6 frames per second are being processed detections may be missed irisity recommends a framerate of 8 12 fps 10 fps with a resolution of 720p to 1080p is recommended in most cases ensure video stream is configured correctly consider lowering the resolution to conserve resources check if the edge is overloaded ensure network connection is stable between edge and camera and not overloaded camera view obstructed camera was covered or obstructed, or camera was moved the view does not match the previous camera view detections may be missed check the live camera view to ensure the camera view is ok, that it is overlooking the intended area and that alarm zones are set correctly ensure the camera view is not covered or obstructed clean the camera lens/view if needed check the camera positioning check the alarm zones' positions video too bright parts of the camera image is too bright detections may be missed make sure the scene is well exposed in both bright and dark areas both daytime and night time adjust the camera to not directly point at the light source, then try again video too dark poor visibilitiy or lack of contrast in parts of the camera image detections may be missed make sure the scene is well exposed in both bright and dark areas both daytime and night time adjust the camera angle or bring up the site's lighting, then try again downloading clip the video is not yet processing since downloading has not completed no detections will be generated wait a few minutes for the video to complete downloading, then try again (should this be the same as the recommendation?) not processing the video is not yet processing since initialization is still ongoing no detections will be genareted wait a few minutes for the video to complete downloading, then try again (should this be the same as the recommendation?) calibration lacking automatic calibration incomplete, typically due to lack of human activity in the area consider calibrating manually false alarms may be generated and detection accuracy may be decreased consider walking and/or driving through the area repeatedly, or calibrate the camera manually access the camera calibration page to manually set the object height review the calibration best practice page to learn more about proper calibration camera inactive the camera has been set inactive enable the camera to activate processing and detections no detections will be generated check the camera's active status locate the camera in the camera tree and activate the camera if it's currently deactivated unsupported video stream the video stream or video codec is unsupported no detections will be generated contact irsity support no action, irisity support will be helping you out unsupported resolution the video stream resolution is not supported no detections will be generated change the video stream resolution to a supported one refer to our online documentation for details select the camera from the camera tree and located the resolution within the settings tab update the resolution accordingly critical processing framerate no video frames processed for over one minute no detections will be genareted check the camera's connectivity with the edge device and if the video stream is operating try toggling the mulicast support setting, check camera configuration, bad internet or network connection with camera check if camera supports multicast to enable multple client connections unsupported rtsp video stream the rtsp video stream or video codec is unsupported no detections will be genareted check camera configuration, verify that camera stream support rtsp verify the camera rtsp stream works with other clients select the camera from the camera tree and located the resolution within the settings tab update stream info accordingly camera disconnected, rtsp host not reachable could not reach the camera and rtsp host no detections will be genareted check the camera and stream host, port and url also check username and password verify the camera rtsp stream works with other video viewing clients na authentication failed logging in to the camera failed rtsp credentials incorrect no detections will be genareted check video stream username and password na camera disconnected, onvif invalid url could not reach the camera's onvif host no detections will be genareted check the camera and stream host, port and url also check username and password verify the camera onvif stream works with other video viewing clients na camera disconnected, onvif invalid url could get a video stream onvif may not be support or not configured correctly no detections will be genareted check camera onvif configuration, check onvif support for camera na camera disconnected, unsupported video stream uri could get a supported video stream onvif may not be configured correctly no detections will be genareted check camera onvif configuration, check onvif support for camera na device health glossary alert details what could happen? what do we recommend? how can i fix it? edge disconnected the edge device has lost connection to the core or cloud system no detections will be generated ensure the connection between the edge and core is working, typically the internet connection check with your internet provider and confirm the network is active processing error an internal processing error with the stream has occurred contact irisity support no detections will be generated contact irisity support no action, irisity support will be helping you out an internal processing error with the stream has occurred contact
