The IRIS+ system will now provide an option for customers to migrate their existing rules from Moving in an Area to Perimeter Security (preview), enabling them to test out this new analytics offering without the need to add a new camera to their edge device.

Additionally, the test alarm functionality will also now be available with the Perimeter Security (preview).

This version of the edge device will include an update to the Perimeter Security (preview) feature. This update will enable customers to add up to 7 cameras to an edge device running Perimeter Security analytics, compared to 4 cameras in the previous version.

The Perimeter Security preview pop-up will include updates to the cooldown time. This cooldown time by default will be set to 5 seconds, with an option to set it at a maximum of 30 seconds as well.

The cooldown time within Perimeter Security behaves slightly differently than the standard rule dwell time. While both handle the time duration between events, the cooldown time within Perimeter Security is built to reduce alarm event alerts without dropping the alarms themselves.

The test alarm issue has been updated, with additional warnings about its functionality should the camera go offline. The test alarm will attempt to generate and send but offline cameras or devices will not have a test alarm generated.

The edge device dashboard will also undergo a general improvement, adding additional details to the edge device for easier viewing.

We're pleased to announce that the latest Edge release will introduce the newest addition to the intrusion detection features: Perimeter Security module.

This Perimeter Security module is an advanced class of intrusion detection rules, dedicated to operations that require a higher degree of motion detection on sites.

This release will be the first version to introduce this module in its Preview format. This preview format will give customers an introduction to this new feature as more of its functionalities are in development.

Irisity feels that you should be educated and empowered to take action when issues arise. This new health alerts page allows customers to self-diagnose and self-resolve problems reported from their devices, reducing any wait time in between for a fix.

Health alerts and warnings from devices and cameras will now be sorted in a newly designed Health Alerts page. Each alert is organized with relevant information on relevant steps to resolve issues before additional assistance is required.

Improvements to the general UX and usability of the system are now available in the portal. This release focused on improving navigation across modules when a user is context-switching across the portal.

For example, when moving between the Admin module and the tree view, you can expect that each transition will include additional breadcrumbs you can follow. This allows you to go between modules without needing to remember where you were last.

In addition to the general UX improvements, the portal's responsiveness was also upgraded as part of this release's improvement priorities. This includes improvements to module sizing, which accommodates users operating the portal with smaller screens.

IRIS+ will now include a notification indicating when the platform will undergo a regular system update and maintenance process.

This release version provides improved loitering detection in IRIS+, greatly upgrading the perimeter security experience. This enhances the accuracy and frequency of events for customers that require events generated when there are instances of people hanging out in at-risk areas for far too long.

This release will also include improvements made towards back-end services, to reduce the issue where edge devices run out of capacity, further reducing the chances of events not being logged.

This release will provide a significant improvement to the IRIS+ health status reporting. All device status processes have gone through a major undertaking, with enhancements from health status generation to health status reporting.

Customers will experience quicker alerts with more accuracy and reliability, allowing you to know exactly what's happening with your hardware.

Additionally, we have included some improvements to the health status page to ensure that all necessary information is updated accurately.
